How to Prevent Sales and Frustrate Customers in 10 Steps

There are lots of things you can do to drive customers away but sometimes they still actually find your shop and like your items and actually want to buy it. Don't worry there are still things you can do to prevent customers from actually purchasing anything.

  1. Make sure you don't include any measurements in your description.
  2. Have fuzzy pictures or have the item so it really can't be seen well, another good trick is to take multiple pictures where you item looks like a different color in each one.
  3. Don't organize your shop into categories, even better have categories but leave them empty so the customer can get really frustrated.
  4. Don't list international shipping, make them email you for costs.
  5. Give your customer about 20 choices of scents or colors or even worse have them choose the color and size, refuse to let them just click and purchase.
  6. If these don't work there are a couple of tweaks you can make to your description
    •  Use the description a soap box for a cause
    • Be sure the descriptions pointless, include every thought you ever had
    • Beg people to buy the item just because
  7. A a roadblock, be sure to have excessively high shipping (heavy items are the exception)
  8. Be sure your policies protect you in all ways, refuse all refunds or deny that you have any responsibility once you get to the post office.
  9. Refuse to answer any communication from  buyers.
  10.  If anyone gets through the cracks, immediately add their name to your mailing list without asking and send annoying emails at least weekly announcing you listed a new item.
There you have it,  10 quick and easy ways to prevent people from buying from you. This horrible attack can be stopped. Even 1 or 2 of them will usually do the trick, you really just have to give your customer one reason to say I'm sick of this and click on.

Too True! However, cut us some slack on the foreign mailings. I can't figure it all out, especially the customs, and the cost is really high when tracking and insurance is involved. Scares me to death.

Select Profile...huh? Which one is mine?
